Geoffrey J. Gouinlock

Geoff joined Nexus in 1996 and has spent almost 25 years involved in the management of client portfolios and investment decision-making.
As a Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Geoff works with a dedicated team which offers investment management and thoughtful wealth planning to private clients, foundations and endowments. With over 30 years of experience in capital markets Geoff has active involvement in fixed income and equity strategy, company research and portfolio construction.
Before joining Nexus, Geoff was the Managing Director of the JP Morgan office in Toronto, with responsibility for an active foreign exchange and fixed income trading operation, as well as senior relationship coverage of key Canadian accounts. Geoff began his career on Bay Street trading government bonds for RBC Dominion Securities.
Throughout his career Geoff has been involved in various industry associations and external charities. He is a past chair of the Investment Industry Association of Canada Capital Market Committee, past chair of the Toronto Bond Traders Association and a past Governor of the Portfolio Management Association of Canada. He has chaired the investment committees and served on the Boards of St. Clement’s School, Bridgepoint Health Foundation and the Arthritis Research Foundation.
