John C.A. Stevenson

John Stevenson joined Nexus in 1995 and as President, he is responsible for the firm’s decision-making as well as the management of client portfolios.

As President & Portfolio Manager, John focuses on both the management of the firm, as well as the management of client portfolios. Along with the investment team, John is responsible for the firm’s equity strategy, company research and portfolio construction for both segregated portfolios and pooled funds. At Nexus, John works with a dedicated team which offers tailored wealth planning and investment management directly to private clients, foundations and endowments.

Before joining Nexus, John was a Vice President at Rothschild Canada Ltd. in Toronto, specializing in merges and acquisitions. Prior that, he was with Credit Suisse First Boston, in both their Toronto and New York offices.

Throughout his career John has been involved in various industry associations and external charities. He served for many years as a Trustee of the Upper Canada College Foundation, and also on its Investment Committee.
