R. Denys Calvin CFA

Denys Calvin joined Nexus in 2007 and is responsible for overseeing firm operations as well as the management of client portfolios.

As a Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for Nexus, Denys ensures the business operates as smoothly as possible – while continuously improving – so the firm is able to perform to the highest standards for clients. In addition, he advises clients on the management of their portfolios and on various financial, tax and estate planning matters. At Nexus, Denys supports a dedicated team which offers tailored wealth planning and investment management directly to private clients, foundations and endowments.

Before joining Nexus, Denys had a long career in a variety of roles at TD Securities and TD Bank raising capital for businesses.

Throughout his career Denys has been involved in various industry associations and external charities. Denys has represented Nexus as a member of the Portfolio Management Association of Canada (PMAC) since 2007, as a Director since 2014, and as the elected Chair of the Board of Directors from 2018 to 2020.
